Augst 11: Today at a grand gathering at Sheikh ul Alam Sports Ground Nawabbagh ASP Ganderbal along with Dy SP Hqs Dr Majid sab , SHO Ganderbal INS Mr Salfi Arshid, DO Dhadipora Mr Gulzar Hussain were main guests .First ball of the tournament was hit by ASP sab and ball was bowled by Dy SP Hqs Dr Majid sab. At that time SHO Ganderbal, DO Shadipora , Sarpunch, Chairman Awkaaf Committee, Chairman SASA Mr Firdous Ahmad,Organisor Ali Adnan,Senior Citizens and top sports persons like Nisar Barsoo, Fayaz Alam, Jeelani Hakeem, Ajaz Ahmad and large number of youngster were present at the occasion. Khan Raja was in special appearance presented the live commentary of the event and later on the live action of the inauguration match . ASP Ganderbal, Dy SP Hqs, SHO Ganderbal throw light on the importance of sports in our lives and how to control the spread of menace of drug and tobbaco abuse in our society. Mr Feroz Yehya said that God has given us life as precious gift and we should get glory in it but not miseries.He said at present only sports can get this glory along side of education. Dy SP Hqr Dr Majid appreciated the initiative of local youth to develop a one the best turf wicket at this ground.Pertinent to mention here that all matches will be played at turf wicket.SHO Ganderbal said that we will do every possible help to the local youth in maintaining the Turf wicket and organising such tournaments.DO Shadipora thanked all the guests and said that I am always available 24×7 for the betterment of community in eradicating drugs and helping to maintain the peacefully atmosphere of the area.In this tournament 32 teams will participate and today’s inauguration match was played between Bangroo 11 Norbagh andKings 11 Lolapora . Bangroo 11 won the toss and put 155 runs score to K11 Lolpora. Lolpora chased the target easily at the cost of 5 wickets. K11 lolpora won this inaugural match at Sheikh Alam Sports Ground Nawabbagh with 5 wickets.At last organisors of the tournament thanked guests, circket lovers, both the teams , media persons, youth as they attended the event.(CNS)
