Pulwama , July 16: A joint team of police and government forces claimed to have recovered seven motor shells and 260 Pika rounds on Friday during a cordon-and-search-operation in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.Sources told that based on specific information, police, army’s 42 RR and 180 battalion CRPF launched CASO and found the bullets and the seven shells beneath the ground near zeyarat Shareef Nowdal Tral.In a statement issued to Awantipora police said that based on the credible input, a joint team of Awantipora Police, Army 42 RR and CRPF 180 BN launched a search in the Nawdal Tral area.
It added that during search operation incriminating material and huge cache of explosive material and ammunition have been recovered which was kept hidden underground by the terrorists which include 51MM Motor Bombs 07 and PIKA Rounds 260Accordingly a case under FIR No 87/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral.
