Theft case; Srinagar police seeks help of general public to identify the suspect

September 13: Srinagar police seeks help of general public in identifying the thief caught in camera involved in a theft at Dastageer Sahab Shrine Khanyar.

On 13-09-2020, Police Station Khanyar received an information from Intizamiya Committee of Dastageer Sahab Shrine Khanyar that during intervening night some unkown theif/thieves have attempted to break the donation box for stealing cash from the said donation box. After the commission of crime, the suspected person escaped from the spot.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 66/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khanyar and investigation is going on.

A special investigation team has been constituted to investigate the case and CCTV footage as well as photographs of the suspect have been collected for the purpose of investigation.
