DDC Kishtwar holds maiden Jan Sunwai at Block Drabshalla

SEP 12, 2020 KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara, today held maiden Jan Sunwayi session under the mega 21 day Jan Abhiyan programme here in the premises of BDO office Drabshalla. Chairman Block Development Council Block Drabshalla Suraj Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mushim Ahmed Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Development Kishore Singh Katoch, Block Development Officer Drabshalla Sobia Shaad, NT Drabshalla, Ehsan Ahmed Zargar besides PRI members, locals and the field functionaries of various departments were present on the occasion. The programme witnessed participation of a large number of people with due observance of COVID-19 protocols. The BDC chairman and other elected Panchayat members projected their issues which were mostly related to road connectivity, MGNREGA wage payments, inclusion of left out BPL beneficiaries, release of land compensation, issuance of ration cards, etc. They also informed about shortage of staff in schools, and demanded revival of work on Ratle HEP, replacement of electric poles, identification of dumping yard at Drabshalla, restoration of collapsed power transmission lines over High school Drabshalla, restart of work on languishing WSS at Drabshalla, improvement of drainage system at Bimalnag etc. While Listening to the issues highlighted by the Panchs and Sarpanchs, the DDC passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers to take immediate steps to redress projected issues. He also called for removing bottlenecks in execution of projects of public importance, prioritizing the projects with 80% completion of the work so that the same can be dedicated to people during B2V-3. The DDC informed the gathering that 21 days Jan Abhiyan in the run up to B2V3 is aimed at to foster the pace of public services delivery under Adhikar Abhiyan, speed up the execution of development works under Unnat Gram Abhiyan and fast track redressal of public grievances under Jan Sunwai Abhiyan. He assured that all the demands and issues projected by the people are being documented and action taken reports will be maintained by respective BDOs. The DDC stressed on PRIs to aware the masses and ensure 100% Aadhaar seeding of individual beneficiary oriented schemes especially MGNREGA, Ration and pension before September, 30, 2020. He informed the participants that District administration is going to install the Aadhaar generation machines at the Block headquarter and the concerned officer shall ensure that no one is left out.
