Srinagar, 11-Sep: Moderate to heavy rains lashed Kashmir this morning with temperature further dipping in hilly areas and people witnessed an unusually cold morning in the month of summer.Shalimar area here in Srinagar, received a rainfall of 40.0 mm of rains till 0830 hours. Light to moderate rain showers are expected in both Jammu and Kashmir regions during the next 36hrs, MET said.Srinagar, summer capital of the state, recorded a low of 22.3 degrees Celsius and is expected to say 2 – 8 °C degrees below normal, following rains overnight.However, Dry weather is expected for next week as no significant system will affect the UT.Weathermen forecast no continuous rains.(CNS)
