Cyber Police challans man for transmitting obscene material to lady

JAMMU: Cyber Police Jammu challaned a man for transmitting obscene material to a lady on social site Facebook.As per police sources, a written complaint was received at Cyber Police Station Jammu from a lady that one unknown Facebook profile with a female nomenclature became friend with her. Soon after becoming friend, the handler of the said fake id disclosed that he is a male and started sending vulgar comments and obscene pictures of his private parts on her Facebook messenger.Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Cyber Police Station Jammu and the investigation was started.During the course of investigation, the data (both electronic and physical) was collected from Facebook Inc. USA and other TSPs and analysed. Based on the evidences, the Investigating Officer rounded up one suspect namely Ramesh Kumar of Khour Deonian, Miran Sahib, Jammu, who was summoned for questioning at Cyber Police Station Jammu.During sustained questioning, the suspect confessed his crime and was arrested in the instant case on the basis of evidences.After thorough investigation, the challan of the case was today produced against the said accused person in the Court of law.The case was investigated by Inspector Rakesh Kumar Sharma under supervision of Priyanka Kumari, DySP Cyber Police Station Jammu.Naresh Singh, In-charge, Cyber Police Station, Jammu, while giving details informed that recently a case has been registered at Cyber Police Station Jammu in which more than 500 accused persons have been identified from different districts of Jammu Zone by NCRB Delhi, who are accused of uploading, sharing, promoting, searching and watching Child pornographic content which is offence under IT Act.”Cyber Police Jammu warns that whosoever is found misusing cyberspace, either by spreading, sharing fake messages, news or by making fake profiles, hacking social media profiles, uploading obscene, anti-religious, anti-national comments, videos, messages and pictures would be dealt strictly under law”, he added.
