Advisor Sharma convenes public interaction programme in Jammu

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 10: Advisor to Lieutenant, Governor, KK Sharma, today convened a public interaction programme in Jammu in which more than 100 people including 22 delegations and 38 individuals apprised him of their issues and concerns.
Delegations hailing from various districts including Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, Samba, Kishtwar and Udhampur called on the Advisor and informed him about their demands related to road connectivity, water supply, power supply, JDA issues, transfers, relief compensation, liabilities, lane and drain and other related issues.
All Jammu and Kashmir Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM) demanded formulation of a policy for absorption of SBM employees in Samagra Shiksha.
Another delegation of Trader Federation Ware House led by its General Secretary Deepak Gupta put forward the problems being faced by the traders of Ware House/Nehru Market. The delegation requested for infrastructural development and ownership rights of the shops besides demanding blacktopping, proper lighting and drainage system in the market.
The delegations of J&K College Teachers’ Association and Part-time PhD permission applicants of various colleges of Jammu region requested the Advisor to grant hassle free permission for pursuing PhD on regular or part-time basis.
Association of +2 Lecturers posted in Ladakh demanded repatriation of Lecturers from UT of Ladakh to UT of J&K.
The delegation of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti J&K put forward that process of obtaining NOCs from traffic, PCB, RTO and others shall be made easier.
Similarly, various delegations and individuals from villages projected their issue, grievances and demands regarding release of funds for construction of road, construction of protection wall at Government Primary School, compensation of additional land acquired along with Ring Road, regularization of Local Fund Employees working in Government Degree Colleges, release of salary of need based workers in JPDCL, opening of JK Bank in Village Jhajjar Kotli etc
Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputations and individuals and assured redressal of their genuine concerns at the earliest. He passed on-spot directions for redressal of various grievances and directed the officers to maintain close liaison with the local population so that their grievances are redressed at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Advisor took stock of the grievances pertaining to his departments and issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers for redressal.
