DGP visits family of martyr police officer in Anantnag

SRINAGAR: Director General (DG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbagh Singh on Tuesday visited the family members of police Inspector who was shot dead by unidentified terrorist in Anantnag Monday night.Singh accompanied by Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Kashmir Range (SKR) Atul Goel and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag Sandeep Choudhary visited the family of martyrs Inspector Mohammad Ashraf at Chanapora Anantnag.They conveyed heartfelt condolences and assured all help to martyrs family.Ashraf was shot at from close range by terrorist near his house last night. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.Wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines (DPL), Anantnag late last night. Senior police and civil officials paid rich tributes to Ashraf.
