Jammu:A 27-year-old soldier allegedly shot himself dead inside an Army camp at Chamalwas area of Banihal in J&K’s Ramban district on Tuesday evening.A police official told that Tejpal Singh of 12 RR, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, died instantly after he shot himself with the service rifle.Police said the postmartum was conducted at SDH Banihal after which the body was handed over to army authorities.An inquest proceeding under section 174 CrPc has have been initiated at Police Station Banihal into the incident.
