Jammu, 16-Sep;Police Station Mahore registered FIR in attempt to rape & arrested accused within 24 hours of commission of crime.One Noor Hussain resident of Dogiyan Mahore lodged a written report in Police Station Mahore that his daughter (name withheld) went to nearby jungle for fetching of green fodder for cattle alongwith her maternal uncle namely Saiyan S/O Dulaa Caste Gujjar R/O Dogiyan Tehsil Mahore. Finding the girl in isolated place he committed molestation & attempt to rape upon the innocent girl, the daughter of complainant.On this Case FIR no. 71/2021 US 341, 376, 511 IPC stand registered in Police Station Mahore and investigation set in.During the course of investigation Police team visited the scene of crime, medical examination of the victim conducted by doctor, circumstantial evidences collected from the spot and accused Saiyan who was trying to escape, was chased & arrested immediately.The said accused is a bad character and morally corrupt person of the area.Sh Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi stressed that to curb the Crime against women is considered as top priority of Police and subordinate formations are being regularly briefed to maintain utmost vigilance regarding crime against women especially in rural and remote areas of district Reasi and no such crime should be left unreported to investigation agency & perpetrators of such crime must be brought to justice at the earliest.(CNS)
