DDC Chairpersons unfurl National Flag, recount development milestones achieved in districts

JAMMU, JANUARY 26: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor and traditional gaiety in Jammu division amid the participation of people from across the social spectrum.

Filled with national spirit and warmth, students and youth dominated the scene at the scintillating functions held at district, tehsil and block levels across all the districts of the region.

The celebrations presented the stupendous spectacle of cultural diversity showcased through the brilliant performance by the school children and folk artists.

AT RAJOURI: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor and a strong sense of national spirit across the Rajouri district. The celebrations took place at various locations, including the district headquarter, subdivisions, tehsil headquarters, and panchayats.

The main event unfolded at the DPL ground in Rajouri, where the District Development Council Chairman, Chowdhary Naseem Liyaqat, unfurled the National Flag and took the salute.

The parade featured contingents from JKAP, JK Executive Police, JK police band, CRPF, JK FPF, SPO, NCC senior boys and girls, and various schools. Under the command of Dy. SP Vikram Sarmal, the parade showcased excellent discipline and precision.

Among the others present on the occasion included Dr. Haseeb Mughal, DIG Rajouri Poonch; Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat; SSP, Amrit Pal Singh; Principal District and Session Judge; R.N Batal; Addl. District and Session Judge, Mehmood Chowdhary; Town Commander Col. Tushar Yadav; 2IC IRP, Randeep Kumar; 2IC 72 Bn CRPF, Vivek Saksena; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; DDC Member Rajouri Sai Abdul Rashid; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; ADC Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; Principal GMC, Amar Jeet Singh; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; SE PWD/Hydraulics; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma; ACD, Vijay Kumar; DPO, Auqil Nuvaid, district heads of various departments, prominent citizens, and thousands of the people who gathered to witness the grand celebrations of this national event.

The enthusiasm and performance of the students and contingents were truly remarkable, especially considering the harsh winter mornings. The students from different schools and cultural troupes of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages presented captivating cultural performances. With vibrant costumes, intricate choreography, and passionate displays, the event left a lasting impression on the audience.

In his address, the DDC Chairman extended warm greetings to the people of Rajouri and emphasized the significance of Republic Day. He paid tributes to the framers of the Indian constitution which came into force on January 26, 1950. The Chairman also mentioned that Rajouri, like other districts in the Union Territory, is fast progressing on the path of development, with several new projects underway.

He highlighted developmental activities in the district. He informed the audience that 36,455 houses have been completed under the PMAY and Awas Plus schemes, and a significant number of works have been completed under MGNREGA. Furthermore, 82,595 KCC cards have been distributed among farmers, and free books have been provided to numerous students. The completion of 106 Amritsarovars, the ongoing double-lane construction work on the BGSBU road, and the completion of projects such as SDH Sunderbani and SDH Nowshera were among the achievements mentioned. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), 293 schemes have been approved, and work is currently underway on several schemes to provide functional tapped water connections to all households in the district.

The DDC Chairman further mentioned that 126 cases have been sanctioned under the Tejaswini scheme, 238 cases under MUMKIN, and 12 road projects have been completed under the PMGSY sector. A Home for senior citizens has also been set up in the district to house elderly people.

“The District Development Council is working tirelessly alongside the district administration to ensure holistic development in the district”, added District Development Council Chairman, Advocate Chowdhury Naseem Liyaqat.

Later, a felicitation ceremony was also held to recognize the achievements of meritorious students, officers, officials, doctors, and social workers who have contributed towards the development and welfare of the district. Appointment orders were presented to candidates engaged under SRO 43.

AT KATHUA: The 75th Republic Day unfolded a wave of patriotic fervor, grandeur, and joy as the National Flag was unfurled and mega cultural events unfolded across various locations in Kathua district today.

The centerpiece was the event at Sports Stadium, where DDC Chairman, Col. Mahan Singh (Retd) hoisted the tricolor and saluted March past contingents representing Police, PTS, Home Guard, Scouts and Guide, and NCC battalions, along with band squads from Police and schools.

In his congratulatory message, Col Mahan Singh emphasized the day’s significance, marking India’s transformation into a Secular, Sovereign, Socialistic, and Democratic republic. He highlighted India’s rapid progress among the world’s developing economies, celebrating the diverse and united ethos embedded in our constitution.

Highlighting the developmental achievements in the District, the DDC Chairman listed the initiatives such as the Government Medical College Kathua, Bio Tech Park, and other key upcoming mega projects. He envisioned transformative projects like the National Seed Processing Plant, Adventure Water Sports Centre at Basohli, Bamboo Craft Centres, and upcoming Ayurvedic College which will provide learning and employment opportunities besides upgrading the healthcare profile of the district.

Commending the government’s good governance initiatives, he lauded the launch of various online services, promising effective, time, and cost-efficient service delivery. With a record allocation for District Capex, he emphasized active involvement of PRIs in aligning development with public aspirations.

Mahan Singh said supply of potable Drinking water, Roads and Healthcare has been kept a priority while earmarking development projects for Kathua district. “To cater the road connectivity needs in Border areas a well knit road web is being executed through BRO besides last mile connectivity is being ensured under PMGSY for which NABARD funding is being also channelized in kandi areas” he added.

The DDC chairman also disclosed that the district is attracting Industries as 80 new industrial units are being set up with the active investment of Rs 630 Cr which will also open an avenue of employment to over 13,600 people in different trades and skills.

Referring to the recently concluded Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra as the largest high impact initiative of the government, he said it has brought positive change in the lives of a large pool of left out people especially living in far off areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

AT REASI: The 75th Republic Day was commemorated with fervor and enthusiasm at various locations across the Reasi district. The main celebration took place at the General Zarowar Singh Sports Stadium Reasi, where DDC Chairman Saraf Singh Nag unfurled the Tricolor and took salute.

The contingents from JK Police, CRPF, JK Home Guard, Scouts and Guides, Boys and Girls wings of NCC battalions, along with band squads of the Police, presented an impressive Parade. Different government departments, including Education, Agriculture, NRLM, Youth Service & Sports, and Rural Development, displayed welfare schemes through placards, emphasizing their commitment to citizen well-being.

In his address, DDC Chairman underlined the historic significance of Republic Day, marking India’s transition to a democratic republic through the adoption of the Constitution. He expressed pride in India’s progress, aligning itself with rapidly developing global economies.

Highlighting the developmental initiatives taken in the District, he listed numerous developmental projects and works undertaken under different sectors of the district.

Acknowledging the role of good governance, he praised the implementation of online services, making citizens’ lives sustainable in terms of time and cost. He urged residents to actively participate in the region’s progress by availing schemes, tailored and offered by government departments and agencies.

The event featured a vibrant cultural program showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage, presented by students from various participating institutions.

Later, the District Administration presented mementos and certificates of commendation to District Officers, who exhibited exemplary work ethics and professionalism.

Republic Day celebrations cascaded across Sub-division, Tehsil, and Block Headquarters in the district, symbolizing unity and patriotism at every administrative level.

AT DODA: The residents of Doda celebrated the 75th Republic Day with immense enthusiasm and national pride at the Sports Stadium Doda.

The Chief Guest, Dhananter Singh Kotwal, Chairman District Development Council (DDC), unfurled the tricolor and took salute of the march past comprising the contingents from JKP, CRPF, IR 5th Bn, SSB, JKAP, FPF, NCC SD, NCC JD, NSS GDC and scores of students from government and private schools

In his address, Dhananter Singh Kotwal highlighted the collective spirit of patriotism and unity in Doda. He emphasized the significance of Republic Day, reaffirming the commitment to unity in diversity, fraternity, and equality among citizens. The government’s achievements in the district, including the completion of National Highway 244, Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall, and various educational institutions, were commended.

He further outlined initiatives for employment opportunities and entrepreneurship, including the success of self-employment schemes and skill development programs. Social welfare and development schemes, agricultural growth, tourism promotion, and housing projects under PMAY (Grameen) were addressed, highlighting the overall progress and self-sufficiency in various sectors.

Additionally, the administration’s focus on digital education, skill training, and public services was emphasized. The achievements in rural infrastructure, power distribution, health, and water-related activities were detailed. The speech underscored the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and its efforts to address public grievances through online platforms and on-the-spot services.

The DDC Chairman also mentioned remarkable success of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, initiatives for adventure tourism, “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan,” and various events promoting patriotism and awareness were mentioned.

Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Rani Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Abdul Qayoom , besides DDC members, ADDC Doda Pran Singh, ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, Principal GMC Doda, other senior officers from civil and police administration, Army, CRPF, IRP, BSF, prominent citizens, social workers, political activists and a large number of men, women and children were present on the occasion.

Trophies were later presented by the DDC Chairman, Vice Chairperson, Deputy Commissioner, and SSP to students for outstanding cultural performances and parade.

Meanwhile: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dil Mir Choudhary unfurled the National Flag at Bhaderwah. Similar events unfolded in Sub Division headquarters like Assar, Thathri, Gandoh, Tehsil headquarters, and other district offices and educational institutions.

AT UDHAMPUR: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor in district Udhampur.

District Development Council Chairperson, Lal Chand- the chief guest at the District Level function, hoisted the National flag at 9:55 AM and took salute at an impressive march past comprising 25 contingents drawn from District Police , SKPA, Volunteers Home Guards, NCC besides Police Band, took part in this national function.

DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, SSP, Joginder Singh, DDCs, ADDC Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, other senior officers from District Administration, Police, Army, BSF, CRPF, Air Force besides prominent citizens of the district were present on the occasion.

While congratulating the mammoth gathering, the DDC Chairperson said that the Constitution of independent India was implemented on 26th Jan 1950, which provides fundamental rights to every citizen of the country.

This is a day of great significance, a day that is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India which came into effect on 26 January, 1950, he added.

He said Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, under the visionary leadership of the Lieutenant Governor, is embracing the path of development and prosperity. “We are guided by the principle of “one nation, one vision, and one identity,” and this ethos resonates deeply within the heart of every citizen of our great land,” he added.

“In our pursuit of development, Udhampur District has emerged as a frontrunner, exemplifying progress in various developmental indicators. A number of major development projects / schemes which are at the verge of completion are Devika Project, National Highway (NH-244) project,Medical College and Degree Colleges at Udhampur, Jal Jeevan Mission, Udhampur, Swacch Bharat Mission, Yoga International Convention Centre Mantalai” he maintained.

Listing further achievements, he said in the current financial year, 2645 works were taken up under District Capex Budget against the approved amount of Rs. 96.69 Crore. “Around 79% works under District Capex stands completed, 489 more work shall be completed by ending January, 2024 and the remaining works shall be completed by the end of February, 2024” he informed.

Listing Health Sector achievements in the year 2023-24, he said more than 98% population has been covered under Ayushman Bharat scheme, which has universalised access to quality healthcare in the district.

He further listed major works/projects approved under Central Sponsored Schemes (CSS) like the Medical College Udhampur. “An expenditure of Rs. 220.81 lacs has been incurred for construction/up- gradation of Government Medical College, Udhampur and its allied structures till date” he added.

A Scintillating cultural programme reflecting patriotism and rich culture and theme based Skits were also presented by the students and Artists which enthralled the audience.

Meanwhile, the Republic Day function was held in the premises of Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar, wherein Tehsildar Ramnagar unfurled Tricolour on the occasion.

Similarly, the Republic Day function was also organized at Tehsil, Sub Divisional, Niabat level in District Udhampur with great pomp and show.

At Kishtwar: The 75th Republic Day 2024 was celebrated across the District Kishtwar with great enthusiasm, fervor and national spirit. The National Flag was unfurled at District Court Complex, Police line, Sub Divisional headquarters, tehsil and block headquarters and in all the Government offices, colleges and other Educational institutions.

At the district headquarter, the main function was held in the premises of the DC office complex. Chairperson District Development Council Pooja Thakur- the Chief guest, unfurled the tricolor, inspected the parade and took salute of March Past comprising 15 contingents drawn from JK Police, IRP, CRPF, CISF, Forest Protection Force, Home guard, Girls and Boys NCC battalion of GDC Kishtwar and children of various schools.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Khalil Ahmed Poswal, CO 52nd Battalion CRPF Parma Shivan , DDC members, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ASP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh, Joint Director planning Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACD Kishtwar Manoj Kumar, DPO/Dy DEI Sunil Bhutyal besides the senior officers of civil administration, Police, Army, CISF, CRPF, prominent persons of the society, media persons of Kishtwar among others remained present on the occasion.

A scintillating Cultural program was also presented by the students resonating high the spirit of Nationalism and patriotic zeal.

The main attraction of this year’s programme was 2 Tableaux presented by district administration in collaboration with School Education Department and Hydro electric power project authorities of Kiru & Ratle HEP, These reflected India’s milestones in Science, Space and Technology and Sports and Hydroelectric Power, generation. The Tableaux presentation was introduced for the first time in the March Past.

An Archery Competition was organised for girl students as a mark of recognition of the achievements of daughter of the Soil Sheetal Devi a Paralympic Champion and Arjuna Award Winner.

Besides, the District Administration gave away mementos and certificates of commendation to several officers for exhibiting exemplary work, ethics and professionalism besides students with meritorious achievements in academics and Sports were also conferred with awards.

The best performing participating cultural groups and parade continents were also felicitated on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson DDC congratulated the people of the Kishtwar on this auspicious occasion of National importance and aspired all to uphold constitutional values and ethics in letter and spirit and said that the day has great significance as on this day India became a Secular, Sovereign, Socialistic and Democratic republic.

Remembering the contribution of Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar and others in framing the constitution of India, the chief guest threw light on sanctity of constitution of India which enshrines the values of equality, fraternity and universal brotherhood for every citizen of the India irrespective of any discrimination.

The DDC chairperson/Chief Guest listed the achievements under flagship schemes, the good governance initiatives taken by UT administration and District Administration Kishtwar in the Tourism and Education sector particularly in the far flung areas of Dachhan, Marwah, Warwan, Bounjwah, Paddar and Chatroo Blocks. She hailed steps taken towards tapping of Tourism potential and the initiatives taken by District Administration Kishtwar, Tourism department, KDA and other stakeholders in organising the tourism festival at Sinthan, Gulabgarh Paddar, Marwah, Singhpora, Devilgol etc., which resulted into the record breaking footfall of tourists in the district for the first time.

Listing the developmental scenario of district, the chairperson said against a total of 5283 works allotted under District Capex Budget, 2838 works have been completed so far and the work on the rest is in full Swing She further listed ongoing construction of Paddar Machail Road, Dachhan Marwah Road and Ohli Kuntwara Road.

Hailing achievements under self Employment Schemes, she said a total of Rs 49.59 crore loan has been sanction to young entrepreneurs to start their own business in collaboration with DIC Kishtwar, Employment & Counseling Department, KVIB, Lead Bank officer and Bank authorities in the District. She also counted several other achievement like completion of 1500 works under MGNREGA, registration of 10509 beneficiaries under Awas Plus & completion of 5450 PMAY(G) houses and 297 under PMAY (U), registration of 80 percent of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY scheme, awareness campaign under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, benefits under the social security Scheme to beneficiaries by SWD and many more.

She extended her appreciation for the collaborative endeavors of the District Administration Kishtwar and the School Education Department, acknowledging their joint efforts in successfully reintegrating 1366 out-of-school children through the impactful “Talaash” project, a feat that earned the district the prestigious SKOCH award.

Referring to ambitious Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), she appealed the farmers to benefit from this flagship scheme.

“The proactive active approach under My School My Pride initiative by District Administration Kishtwar to strengthen the School Management Committees and fostering Community engagement for development of educational infrastructure and learning environment on local level has been commendable in the district,” she said and appealed the parents to show enthusiastic participation in this initiative.

She emphasized that Sheetal Devi, a true daughter of the soil, has not only achieved remarkable success on both international and national platforms, securing a gold medal in the Paralympics, but also earned the prestigious Arjuna Award from the President of India. Her accomplishments stand as a source of inspiration for all young girls, reflecting the possibilities and achievements within their reach.

In her closing remarks, Chairperson DDC Kishtwar earnestly appealed for the collaborative support of the people of Kishtwar, especially the women, in advancing the development agenda and specifically in eliminating the drug menace within the district.

AT SAMBA: The Republic Day was celebrated with fervor and patriotic zeal in District Samba. The main event, held at a Rani Suchait Singh Stadium Arazi, witnessed a multitude of activities reflecting the rich heritage and unity of our nation.

The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag and inspection of Parade by esteemed District Development Council (DDC) Chairman by Keshav Dutt Sharma symbolizing the essence of unity and pride. After meticulous inspection of the parade and DDC chairman took salute at an impressive march-past.

Reflecting the disciplined strength of our armed forces and paramilitary units, the spectacular March Past featured contingents from JKP, NCC , Home Guards and police band.

The event resonated with the 2024 Republic Day themes, “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and “Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka” (India – Mother of Democracy), emphasizing progress, development, and the democratic values that define our nation.

Highlighting the inclusivity of the celebration, specially-abled children took the stage, delivering a heartwarming cultural performance that left the audience inspired and moved. The cultural program further unfolded performances by students from both private and government institutions adding vibrancy to the festivities.

The parade featured vibrant tableaux depicting achievements of various departments. A significant moment ensued with the distribution of prizes, acknowledging the outstanding contributions and efforts of participants in different categories.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest Keshav Dutt Sharma highlighted the Republic Day’s significance. He emphasized milestones achieved in the district in the last four years like AIIMS, ring road, express highway, and CRC for divyangjans.

Progress across government departments was attributed to Council and District Administration’s coordination, resulting in our remarkable rank 2 in District Good Governance Index.

Sharma expressed the goal to ascend to rank one District with continued cooperation. He urged youth to shun drugs, contribute to district development. Defense personnel were lauded, and heartfelt tributes were paid to martyrs.

AT RAMBAN: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan unfurled the Tricolour at District Police Lines, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma, SSP Traffic, Rohit Basotra, DDC, Councillors, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma, PO, ICDS, Jahangir Hashmi, ADC, Harbans Sharam, various Senior Civil, Police and Army officers, besides prominent citizens, large number of locals and students from various educational institutions attended the function.

After inspecting the 17 contingents including JKP, JKAP, Home Guard, Forest Protection Force and local school students, the Chairperson took salute from the parading contingents.

Greeting the enthusiastic audience including the locals, students, officers and government employees, the Chairperson gave a brief account of the main developmental activities registered in the district during the current year.

Dr. Shamshad Shan asserted that the journey has become more comfortable for the commuters with the completion of 7 vital tunnels and viaducts on NH-44 four laning project between Nashri and Banihal. She also congratulated for the successful trial run of Rail between Banihal to Khari under USBRL project.

The Chairperson informed that under the RDD sector, over 15 crore have been utilised under different schemes during the current year. She said that a total 35838 families have been provided houses under PMAY-G, out of which 18388 have been completed with an expenditure of Rs. 335 crore.

The Chairperson also highlighted achievements registered under Health, Education, PMGSY, Jal Shakti, Agriculture and allied sectors.

Congratulating the District Administration for implementing various developmental Projects and Flagship schemes, prominently appreciated the public of Ramban for maintaining peace, communal harmony and brotherhood in the district in every situation.

Meanwhile, the artists of the Information Department and students of the local educational institutions presented a colourful themed based cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, folk dances and skits which enthralled the audience.

Later, the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries gave away prizes to the participants. Some officers, officials, students, artists, and social workers were also awarded for their outstanding performance in their respective fields.

Republic Day was also celebrated with patriotic fervour in Gool, Banihal and Ramsoo Sub divisions, besides at tehsil headquarters and other institutions of district Ramban.

At Poonch: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, fervor and national spirit here in the Sports Stadium.

Chairperson District Development Council Poonch, Mtm. Tazeem Akhter hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the March Past consisting of contingents of Educational Institutions, CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Home Guard, JKPQRT Commando, NCC Cadets, Police Band. DySP DAR Mohd. Shafiq was the parade commander during the event.

While addressing a mammoth gathering, the DDC Chairperson said that the Constitution of independent India was implemented on 26th Jan 1950, which provides fundamental rights to every citizen of the country.

Listing achievements of the country, she said that the success of Chandrayan Mission and G20 Conference has proven India’s capabilities and commitment. She added that era of Stone pelting has ended and new J&K is moving towards peace and prosperity with new schemes and programs of the government.

She added that UT has now the world’s highest railway bridge which made Railway connectivity to Kashmir a reality.

Like other parts of UT, is also progressing she said and also listed numerous developmental projects and works undertaken in the district. She informed about various measures taken by the UT and district administration for the overall development of the district.

“The Government is working hard to provide the public better road infrastructure, healthcare facilities, quality education; road connectivity, electricity and water supply to left out villages besides ensuring social security to aged, physically challenged and widows and self-employment avenues to unemployed youth in the district” she maintained.

Referring to recently concluded Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra as largest high impact initiative of the government, she said it has brought about positive change in the lives of large pool of left out people especially living in far off areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

She appealed to the people of Poonch to work together for promoting national integration, communal harmony and peace in the district.

On the occasion, cultural groups presented scintillating and colorful programme depicting rich heritage of our country which enthralled gleefully cheering audience.

Besides large number of public, the program was graced by Vice Chairperson District Development Council, Ashfaq Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner, Yasin M. Choudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar Sharma, DDC Members, Bar Association members, ex- legislators, prominent and senior citizens, others senior officers from police and civil administration.

The R-Day function concluded by felicitating the students, government officers/officials for their extraordinary services rendered to society.

Later, an impressive at home function was organized by District Administration at GDC Poonch’s multipurpose auditorium where artists presented cultural performances which were mesmerized by the audiences on the occasion.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Yasin M. Choudhary unfurled the National Flag at District Headquarters. Similar functions were organized with same spirit & gaiety in all three sub-division, Blocks and 229 Panchayats.

Flags were hoisted at all government offices and other prominent places in the whole district.

At Marh Jammu: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with immense fervour and patriotic zeal in Sub-Division Marh, where Manu Hansa, SDM, unfurled the Tricolor and took the salute during the March Past at the GHS School playground.

The Republic Day celebration showcased a grand parade featuring contingents from the Army, JKAP, JKP, Home Guard and NCC cadets from various educational institutions. The parade was complemented by the Army and Police Band and a Troop squad, contributing to the ceremonial splendor.

In his address, SDM Manu Hansa highlighted the remarkable growth of Jammu and Kashmir over 75 years of freedom. He underscored the achievements witnessed in Subdivision Marh on the developmental front, emphasising the contributions of freedom fighters and the sacrifices made for the cause of freedom.

The event also featured colourful cultural programmes that captivated the audience, including prominent officials, security forces, former elected members, social workers, political activists and the public who gathered in large numbers to witness and partake in the grand celebration of the National event.Source: JK Informatio
