Srinagar, 27-Dec; Srinagar Police booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted him to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.As per police sources, a notorious criminal identified as as Mushtaq Ahmad resident of shah colony fruit Mandi Bund Srinagar was booked under Public Safety Act under order no. DMS/PSA/105/2021 and has been kept under detention in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.It is pertinent to mention that accused is a notorious criminal and a desperate character. He was involved in cases registered at Police Station Parimpora. The detention warrant was issued by DM Srinagar under section 8(1)(a) JK Public Safety Act, 1978.Finally detention warrant got executed and accused was shifted to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.Meanwhile, the residents of shah colony and Barthana Qamarwari in Srinagar have expressed gratitude to the Parimpora police and civil administration for taking immediate efforts and action against the criminal.While speaking to delegation from the area said that the residents of these areas feel sigh of relief as the notorious criminal was involved in number of criminal cases and used to loot and obtain ransom from the poor inhabitants of the areas.“We are highly thankful to SHO Parimpora and civil administration for taking note of our sufferings and doing commendable job by arresting the criminal”, Locals added.
