Srinagar, 24-Mar: Apni Party District President Srinagar and former MLA Noor Mohammad Sheikh on Thursday expressed his deep anguish over the dilapidated condition of the roads across Srinagar due to administrative apathy. In a statement issued to Sheikh said “The people are helplessly enduring immense problems caused by the deplorable condition of roads especially after the heavy snowfall. Other than the local transport, there are critical patients who are shifted to different hospitals in haste and the rugged condition of roads add on to their ailments. The repair works need to be initiated urgently in order to avoid further inconvenience faced by the daily commuters,” he said. He urged that the administration needs to respond with the genuine demands of the people and must initiate repair work of the roads instantly. He also sought out measures for timely action so that the public sufferings are alleviated on a prompt basis.(CNS)
