JAMMU: On the occasion of ‘World Television Day’, MV International School organized an online guest lecture for the students of classes 6th to 8thover the topic “Role of Television in our lives”.The session was conducted by one of the renowned TV and Theatre personality Sunita Pandit. She has worked in TV serials like Wapsi, Babu Da Veera, IndraDhanush to name a few. She has also been actively doing theatre from the last 35 years and is presently working in Education Department as an Incharge Cultural Cell of District Jammu.She has also worked with various directors of National and International repute like M.K Raina, Probir Guha and Mushtaq Kak etc.She discussed differences between TV and Theatre and talked about the impact of TV in our daily lives. She shared her journey of life and guided studentswho wish to optTV acting ascareer. Students were thrilled and excited at the same time to see how things has been evolved with the time, right from basic antenna TV to modern version LED Television.Students not only learned the pros and cons of watching excess of TV and spending more screen time overs mobile and laptop screens, but, also realized the importance of having a fun family time by watching the TV together.At the end, there was an interactive session with the students and the guest and various queries and question was answered by the guest. Students not only enjoyed the session but it was a good learning experience for them.
