A massive search operation is underway from Iqbal market to Bus stand road in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.Sources told CNS that a joint team of forces including Army, CRPF and police launched a search operation at Iqbal market Sopore and sealed all entry and exit points leading towards the market.They added that forces searched shops, street vendors and pedestrians in the area.In addition to this the searches were launched in many areas including main Chowk, main Bazaar and Tehsil road of Sopore.It is pertinent to mention that it is the second CASO during the last 24 hours in Sopore. (CNS)Saber Baba Shrine in Safa Kadal Gutted in Massive FireSrinagar CNS, Aug 10: A shrine was damaged in a massive fire on Tuesday morning that broke out in Waniyar area of Safa Kadal in Srinagar district.Sources told CNS that the fire broke out from Saber Baba shrine in Waniyar Safa Kadal during morning hours.Eyewitnesses said that the shrine was fully damaged in the massive blaze that broke out due to a short circuit.Meanwhile the fire tenders also rushed to the spot and doused the flames.A senior police official told CNS that the investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the incident and added that preliminary investigation suggests it as a case of short circuit. (CNS)Man Found Dead in South Kashmir’s QazigundQazigund CNS, Aug 10: A 35-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Akhran Nowpora area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.Sources told CNS that some locals spotted the body of Veeru Singh, son of Karnail Singh of Mattan lying near the service station Akhran Nowpora under mysterious conditions.After spotting the dead body they immediately informed the police.A senior police official told CNS that a police team reached the spot and recovered the body.They added that the body will be handed over to his legal heirs after fulfilment of medico legal procedures.According to police sources further investigation in the case is going on to ascertain the cause of his death.
