MP Ladakh JTN and CEC Gyalson inspects land meant for Leh Sarai at Dwarka Delhi

Leh: Dec, 14: The Member Parliament Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal along with Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson, senior BJP leaders of UT Ladakh accompanied by official Ladakh Bhawan visited Dwarka, Delhi yesterday to inspect the land allotted for construction of Leh Sarai through the DDA.

MP JTN and CEC Gyalson instructed officer incharge Ladakh Bhawan to speed up the process of final lease agreement with DDA so that formal construction of Sarai building could be started soon. CEC said that after completion of all documentation procedures, the construction of Sarai building should commence by the month of March 2021 and said soon LAHDC will hire a consultant for designing of Sarai, he said that this new project will a gift to the common people especially patients, pilgrims and students.

CEC thanked previous Hill Council Leh for acquiring this important land in Delhi which will prove very beneficial for Leh people especially patients, since this property is close to Airport and AIIMS. CEC Gyalson also extended thanks to MP Ladakh JTN for negotiating land fees with DDA during his tenure as CEC and getting it allotted at a very reasonable cost and also thanked UT Administration Ladakh headed by Hon’ ble LG Ladakh Sh. R.K Mathur for keeping Rs. 25 crore for its construction under SDP.

“ Sarai for Leh people at such a key location in the capital of the nation could be a distant dream, if Ladakh was not granted UT last year”. Said CEC Gyalson and thanked Hon’ble PM Modi and Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah once again for bestowing Ladakh a UT status last year.
