Srinagar 20th July 2020:
Acting on the directions of SSP Srinagar to eradicate drug menace from Srinagar, Police Post Nehru Park arrested one drug peddler, While carrying out random naka checking at Ghat no.19 Boulevard road. A police party from Police Post Nehru park apprehended a drug peddler namely:
Showkat Ahmad dar
S/o Ali Mohd dar
R/O Laam Brein Nishat and from his possession charas like substance covered in corn husk has been recovered.
In this regard case FIR no. 85/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS R.M.Bagh and investigation set into motion.
Civil society has hailed the police action against the drug peddlers in the area.
