JAMMU: M/s Prem Sweets Shop, New Plot (Jammu) was challaned by a Food Safety team for selling rotten sweets. Taking cognizance of a video circulating on social media apps, wherein a person was claiming that he purchased 2 boxes of Kalakand sweet from Prem Sweets Shop and after opening them, he found some yeast like material over the sweets, a team of Food Safety Officers along with Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, Municipal Limits Jammu, Dr Parvesh Kumar made a surprise visit to the shop to investigate the complaint after contacting the complainant. The team investigated the complaint, lifted sample of Kalakand sweets for checking its quality and challaned the shop owner under Section 56 of FSS Act 2006.
