19 April, Jammu : Harman Cultural And Educational Society, Jammu organized cultural event at Polytechnic College auditorium.In order to promote cultural diversity of Sikhism and provide an opportunity for showcasing talent of children and youth in devotional poem and kirtan recitation, Harman Cultural And Educational Society, Jammu in collaboration with Sikhs 4 All Foundation organized cultural event at the premises of Govt. Polytechnic College auditorium, bikram Chowk, Jammu on 16 April 2023 in which about 70-80 children and youth from various localities of Jammu and Kashmir participated and exhibited their talent in the field of devotional poem recitation and kirtan recitation. On this occasion, S. Surjeet Singh, General Secretary, DGPC and S. Balwinder Singh, vice-president, DGPC were present as special guests alongwith S. Manjit Singh Bali, Chairman, Sikhs 4 All Foundation, as Chief Guest.Tajinder Singh, President, Harman Cultural And Educational Society, Gurvinder Kour, state secretary, performing arts association of J&K Jammu were present as guests of honour. Bharat Gupta, bureau chief, sach news network and Popinder Singh Paras were present as guest of honour. The representatives from various Gurudwara Singh sabha namely s Shamsher Singh, From Chowala, Gurpreet Kour, Taraf Sanjhi were honoured by dignitaries present on the occasion. The program started with beautiful gatka performance by Baba Jujar Singh Gatka Akhara, Simbal camp followed by launching the poster of Harman Cultural Musical Band which gave live performance as a guest item.Audience participation was very high and appreciated the performance of children and youth. The best performers were felicitated by the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. Gurkaran Singh and Gurveer Singh of class 7th from Tiny Scholars School, kathua were honoured with cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- by Tajinder Singh , President, Harman Cultural And Educational Society, Jammu. The event was sponsored by S. Amarjit Singh, chairman, Guru Ramdas Public School , Digiana, Raminder K Kour, Principal, Kidzee, Rani Bagh, Jammu, Sikh 4 All Foundation and Harman cultural Society,media partners were Sach News, Hond news channel And Ikwani channel. The anchoring was done by Ikjot Singh and Poonam Honda. The panel of judges was Madam Harbans Kour Panda, Dr. Harsimran Singh . Harman Cultural Society organized this event second time successfully and continue to organize such events in future also to make children and youth aware of their mother language and religious literature.
