42 Polling parties dispatched to Palmar and Thakrie for Phase-V of DDC/ Pyt- By Elections in kishtwar

KISHTWAR: Amid the prevailing bad weather conditions in the district District administration under the supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today dispatched 42 polling parties to their respective polling stations for smooth conduct of DDC/Pyt By -Elections under Phase -V to be held on 10-12-2020.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar, SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Parihar, Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, ACR Kishtwar, Dr. Amir Hussain, Dy. DEO Kishtwar Masood Ahmed Bichoo,BDO Mughal Maidan Arun Kumar Badyal, ARTO Kishtwar Er. Kuldeep Singh, AD FCS&CA Kishtwar Gh. Rasool lone, ENT Kishtwar Angrez Singh Jasrotia, Nodal Officer Ballot Boxes Arjun Singh, Inspector MVD Sanjeev Parihar besides Zonal & Sector Magistrate’s, Micro- Observers and other officers remained present on the occasion.

The 42 polling parties which were dispatched amid tight security and other logistics arrangements included 17 parties for Palmar and 25 polling parties for Thakrie DDC Constituencies.

It is pertinent to mention here that 07 candidates are in fray for Palmar DDC constituency and 05 candidates are contesting for Thakrie DDC constituency.

Besides for 01 vacant Sarpanch seats in Palmar Block 02 candidates are in fray and in Thakrie Block the bypolls for 01 vacant sarpanch seat is going to be held with 04 contesting candidates.

More over the bypoll for 02 vacant panch seats shall be held in Thakrie Block with 4 candidates in fray.Whereas the candidate for vacant panch seat in Palmar Block has already been declared elected unopposed .

In this phas a total of 8,864 voters are registered for Palmar DDC constituency and a total of 11,810 voters are registered for Thakrie DDC Constituency.

DPEO kishtwar while interacting with poll parties has laid stress on conduct of free ,fair and transparent Elections.

He further appealed to the public of the kishtwar to participate enthusiastically in these elections and play their role in strengthening the grass roots democracy.
