Srinagar :An on duty Border Security Force (BSF) jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting self in Tanghdar sector in north Kashmir district of Kupwara on Wednesday.
Official sources said that a BSF jawan, who was on duty near Line of Control (LOC) in Tanghdar sector, was critically injured when he shot self with his service rifle on Wednesday. “The injured was immediately taken to a health facility centre, where he was declared brought dead,” they said. They said the deceased has been identified as Head Constable Bharinder Singh of 118 battalion of BSF.
