Bandipora, 21-Feb: The Bandipora District administration on Tuesday performed yet another most difficult operation to evacuate a critically ill patient from Purana Tulail (PTL) Village of Gurez valley close to Line of Control.After receiving an SOS about a critically ill patient in the remote village who needed immediate evacuation for better medical treatment, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais directed for airlifting the patient from snowbound village.After hectic preparations to land the helicopter at the village on a thick layer of snow and ice for the first time, the helicopter landed on snow outside the village and evacuated the patient.
