Farmer’ MS Dhoni to send vegetables from his farmhouse to Dubai

Having played IPL 2020 in UAE, MS Dhoni will now be sending vegetables grown in his Ranchi farmhouse to Dubai.

Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni marked his cricketing return from sabbatical post the 2019 ICC World Cup with the Indian Premier League (IPL) in UAE. Now, the iconic cricketer is set to send vegetables from his farmhouse in Ranchi to Dubai, having swapped the cricketing hat with that of a farmer.Dhoni has been investing in various ventures outside of cricket for the past several years. Having called time on his career as a cricketer on August 15 last year, the 39-year-old is putting most of his time and effort into activities like farming.

As per a report , the consignment of vegetables that is to be sent from Dhoni’s farmhouse to Dubai is in the final stages. The Agriculture Department of Jharkhand has taken the responsibility of sending the produce to UAE from Ranchi.The agency to sell the vegetables in UAE has also been identified. All season Farm Fresh agency has been selected for the task. The agency will be sending vegetables to the Gulf Countries.

The brand Dhoni doesn’t need much introduction. Throughout his career, Dhoni has been one of the biggest brands in the country, fetching big bucks for endorsements and advertisement campaigns. The vegetables from his farmhouse are now expected to benefit from the brand.Dhoni’s farmhouse is located at Ring Road in Sembo village in Ranchi. Among the vegetables that are being produced are: Strawberries, cabbage, tomatoes, broccoli, peas, hock and papaya. The land on which the vegetables are grown is spread over 10 acres. The entire farmhouse has an area of about 43 acres.

Dhoni, as a cricketer, has had a reach that transcends beyond boundaries. No matter which country he has gone to during his playing days, fans have pulled up in numbers to watch him play. In the initial stage of his second innings, having quit international cricket, the wicket-keeper batsman looks set for a busy period ahead.
