BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh blasted former J&K chief minister Farooq Abdullah today for seeking help from Pakistan in restoring Article 370 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.Addressing a public meeting close to the LOC in Ramgarh near Sambha, Chugh said while Abdullah was asking for a helping hand from Pakistan people on the border areas were living in perpetual fear and distrust due to periodic shelling of missiles and bombs by the Pakistan Army.”The Abdullah family has all along lived a self-centered life to build their fortunes while putting the entire population of J&K in peril”, said Chugh. The Abdullah family has no concern with the common man and his problems.Chugh said the Abdullah and the Mufti families have in the last 50 years fooled the people of the region. “All laws and administrative orders were made not for common man but for their family interests”, he added. Both the families sent their sons and daughters abroad for studies but left the children of common man uncared for, without schools, without food.” Had the two families used the central government funds judiciously the entire J&K population would have been living in a paradise today. He said the Centre government provided crores of rupees for the development and welfare of J&K, but the two families deprived the common man of all benefits and filled their family coffers”, Chugh said.
