Poonch, 27-Jan: Youth National Conference Provincial President Jammu Mr Aijaz Jan today urged the administration to speed up the execution of various development projects and undertake restoration of works in the Poonch district, adding that essential services like power, drinking water and road connectivity need priority attention.During his visit to various remote areas including Arai, Mandi, Islambad and Mandhar Nangali Saibaba block Mr Jan assured the locals that the issue regarding completion of of Jabbi Toti road would be taken up with the concerned agency earnestly and hoped that the government will ensure fair distribution of rations equitably in the respective Panchayats. He regretted that the Jal Shakti Department was insensitive towards replacement of drinking water supply pipes, which has been causing enormous problems to the residents due to scarcity.Describing the demand for motorable road over Nallah Aria in the Panchayat Malkan and up gradation of Road Nangali to SaiBaba Mira Sahib Mr Jan said this will be raised at the appropriate forum so that road up to the peripheral villages is undertaken for convenience of the people who are currently disconnected due to absence of vehicular mobility. The former legislator interacted with the residents and assured them that the issues raised would be taken up with the District Administration has also brought to the notice of Lieutenant Governor. He hoped that the local administration would undertake public outreach by the officers of the various line departments to ensure that the problems of the people are mitigated in a time bound manner.Accord approval to the supplementary plans of 14th Finance Commission and MGNREGA for the year 2021-22 which are pending since long, as just two months of the current fiscal are available for execution of schemes.Those who accompanied the Provincial Youth National Conference President included Bagh Hussain Rathore, Peer Anyat Bukhari, Khurshid Shah, Najabdin Dar, Nasir khan, Mubashar Banday, Ab Jabar Tantry, Sai Rashid, Mukhtar Rathoor and others.(CNS)
