Baramulla , July 14: A 16-year-old girl allegedly ended her life by suicide as she allegedly hanged self to death at her home in Lalpora Kunzar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.Reports said that the family of the girl found the girl hanging inside her room following which police were informed about the incident.A police team reached the spot and registered a case and started investigation into the matter.Police officials said that the body has been taken for post mortem to determine the cause of death and to complete other legal formalities in the case. Two young women drowned in north Kashmir’s Tangmarg, two others rescuedSrinagar CNS, July 14: Two young women drowned while another one besides a youth were rescued in Drang area of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.The official sources reported that the women and the youth apparently were on a picnic in Ferozpur-Nalla near Dreng and when they were taken away by the fast flowing stream.Soon a rescue was launched by locals and police, they said.Two young women aged in their early twenties were found dead while two others persons, one of them a woman and another a youth were rescued and immediately moved to Sub District Hospital Tangmarg.Later the duo was shifted to SMHS hospital for specialized treatment, stated the block medical officer (B.M.O). The identity of those who drowned as well as that of the rescued duo was being ascertained by the officials.A police officer confirming the incident said that the persons had come to Dreng, apparently on a picnic and were enjoying a fast flowing stream when they were swept away by the water.
