Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday averted a major tragedy when a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered from Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants who were planning to detonate it in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said this evening.He said intelligence inputs were received that JeM militants were planning to carry out IED attack which shall be spectacular.However, he said on the basis of this information a number of suspected person were questioned on their admission an IED weighing 10 kgs was recovered in Pulwama thus a major tragedy was averted.He said further investigation has been initiated.
