Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the National Cadet Corps PM Rally at the Cariappa ground in New Delhi. Speaking to the young cadets, PM Modi said he was once an NCC cadet just like them.”I am proud that I have once been an active cadet of NCC like you,” PM Modi said.”The training I got in NCC, what I got to learn, today I get immense strength in discharging my responsibilities towards the country,” he added.PM Modi said at a time when the country is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav, or 75 years of its independence, there is a different enthusiasm in its celebration.”This is the enthusiasm I am seeing right now at Cariappa ground,” PM Modi said.In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said that PM Modi will inspect the guard of honour, review march past by NCC contingents and also witness the NCC cadets displaying their skills in Army action, slithering, microlight flying, parasailing as well as cultural programmes.The best cadets will receive a medal and baton from the prime minister, the statement said.
