Srinagar, 14-Jan;The media community affiliated to Ganderbal District today staged a peaceful protest in the premises of the Mini Secretariat against the non payment by the administration. The media persons said that they were deputed by the district administration for videography in different areas for election coverage during the DDC elections and no payments were made for the same.They added that Ganderbal is the only district out of 22 districts where election payment has not been released yet. The protestors alleged that the officials attached to the Election Department used to harass them every day by making promise of paying payments. each and every day.Meanwhile, the district media fraternity has appealed LG to intervene in this matter and resolve their difficulties at an earliest.
