Srinagar,10-Feb; Civil Society president Hajin Mir Bashir Ahmad has expressed grief and shock over the sad demise of Islamic Scholar Mufti Gh Nabi.In a statement issued to Mir said that mufti Gh Nabi was a great scholar whose religious services enlightened people across the society.”Mufti sb was a great scholar & teacher who served society throughout his life.He succeeded known saint Molvi Rasheed sb and served as Grand Mufti Jamia mosque Hajin for long time.Expressing grief over the demise of Mufti Gh Nabi Mir Bashir said that he was a known socio-religious personality who will be always remembered for his service in the field of Islamic jurisprudence and literary deposition.He said that Hajin has lost a towering personality, whose scholarly attainments and penchant for Islamic learning will be remembered for the times to come. Heprayed for peace to the soul of departed and strength to the grief-stricken family to bear the loss.Members of the forum, also expressed grief and sorrow over the demise and described him as an iconic Islamic scholar and social figure.(CNS)
