Kulgam, 04-Dec; A bear was captured alive in Sopat tangpora area of south Kashmir’s kulgam district on Saturday by the Department of Wild Life.Officials of Wildlife department told that the bear was captured by a team of the department after hectic efforts. He said after locals reported sighting of a bear in non functional water tank of PHE. He said the bear was captured alive after being tranquillized. The official from wildlife Devsar range Peer Irshad told that the Bear was later shifted and released in Wildlife sanctuary Sedow Shopiyan.Meanwhile, locals said that they heaved a sigh of relief as the animal was roaming in the area for the last several days.(CNS)
