With a recovery rate of more than 90% across India, J&K has reported around 572 and Ladakh has reported around 100 COVID-19 cases recently. In last 24 hours, 7 new deaths due to coronavirus have been noted which exceeds the number of deaths due to COVID-19 to more than 1600. According to official reports four deaths were reported from Kashmir while 3 were from Jammu region.
As ex-Director and CMO have tested COVID-19 positive, NC leaders Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have self quarantined themselves due to coming in contact with COVID-19 positive persons. Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah tweeted to break the news that the father-son duo had been advised by doctors to self-quarantine, before undergoing a precautionary coronavirus test.The effect of coronavirus can continuously be seen in the valley. Ladakh is said to have entered into the 2nd wave of covid-19.
People have become a little negligent towards the guidelines and SOPs of covid-19. The Health Department has suggested people to strictly follow the SOPs, limiting travelling and travelling only with all the necessary precautionary measures including masks and sanitisers.
