JAMMU, NOVEMBER 26: The District Administrations, Courts, Government departments, Educational Institutions, Panchayat Institutions and Urban Civic Bodies today celebrated Constitution Day with patriotic fervour and gaiety.The celebration was marked by reading of the Preamble of Indian Constitution, paying of tributes to architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, holding of awareness rallies and pledge ceremonies to express commitment to follow Fundamental Duties as enshrined in the Constitution.J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Scheduled Castes: As a part of the National Campaign to celebrate the Constitution Day , the staff of J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Scheduled Castes celebrated the Constitution Day in the office premises. Rich tributes were paid to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the constitution of India and the founding father of the Republic of India. His contribution in providing constitutional guarantees and protection of civil liberties, abolition of un-touchability, freedom of religion and outlawing of all forms of discrimination was cherished.A Help Desk and Kiosk for Grievances redressal against Atrocities on the members of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes was established in the office premises.The Secretary of the Board read out the “Preamble” at 11.00 A.M. to promote constitutional values among the staff. A pledge to the Fundamental Duties was also taken by the staff members to signify that the individual should not overlook their fundamental duties while exercising their Fundamental rights.Div Com Office: Constitution Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm here at Div Com office.Officers and Officials of Divisional Commissioner Office Jammu read out the preamble of the constitution to mark the celebration of Constitution Day in the office premises at 11 am followed by a pledge to uphold the fundamental duties.Additional Commissioners, Assistant Commissioner Central, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue Attorney), Deputy Director Planning and other staff members were also present on the occasion.District Court Udhampur: Udhampur District Court celebrated the Constitution Day on Saturday by reading out of the Preamble of the Constitution of India.
