Srinagar, 04-Dec;Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir on Tuesday directed Executive Officer MC Baramullah to take action against employees who ‘inhumanly’ acted against the street vendors.He also asked EO Baramullah to recover the losses from employees the street vendors suffered.A video showing employees kicking carts and damaging item/articles had gone viral on social media sites.The actions of employees was criticized by one and all as poor vendors had suffered losses.”Humanly approach should have been adopted to ensure vendors don’t encroach pavements or roads,” they observed.In her letter, Director ULB Kashmir has also expressed displeasure and said that such acts were bringing bad name to the department.”The scene was quite painful as the employees have acted inhumanly,” she wrote and asked EO Baramullah to compensate street vendors.Important to mention here, few Facebook journalists in Baramullah are blindly supporting the actions of MC and other government departments without checking or ascertaining the facts.(CNS
